Groundhog Day...

Is by far the most ridiculous Holiday on the Calendar.  According to legend, if the Groundhog exits thy burrow and sees its shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter.  If Mr. Groundhog does not see his furry fluff casting downward, there will be an early spring! Um, yeah okay and if I step out of my loft and see a Kardashian Ass casting forth from my derriere, we would actually have seasons in Los Angeles
Billy Murray lived the same day over and over again in Groundhogs Day; do you ever feel like your life has hit the repeat button? You know-alarm clock buzzes, you go to work, you hit the gym, and fall asleep, to only repeat the same routine the following day?  Perhaps this day is a simple reminder to take charge of OUR OWN LIVES (I mean who really cares how long we have to wait until Spring, we live in the here and the now)!
What have you been avoiding on that New Year’s Resolution List of yours?  A physical and mental workout, a romantic dinner, or a museum to enjoying the arts? Go today and don’t live life on repeat.  Change is good.  Spice up your routine with the following locations:
Bikram Yoga
WP24
MOCA
If you want to stay festive, The Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood will be showing Groundhog Day a 7:30 PM.  Tickets are free, but donations are accepted.
And in conclusion, how is there not a National Day of Remembrance for 9/11?  Yet, us patriotic Americans some how mark our calendars with a Groundhog every February?
Just saying,
Carlyn

  2. How in the world did they come up with Groundhog Day anyway. Were they just bored or having a bout of cabin fever? Nice reference to thy backside.
