I was in Big Bear with friends a few weekends ago. It's the best and easiest get away. I have the bruises on my booty to prove it and you'll just have to take my word on that.
The best advice I can give you... rent a house with a jacuzzi and a pool table! Try and plan your trip in beginning or end of the season so you can board with just a t-shirt on! My final tip- make sure to claim the front seat for the ride up and down the mountain. I happen to be prone to carsickness.
